Images of aging have a variety of effects on the health of older people. The third issue of the report series by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health on “Healthy Aging” with the focus topic “Images of Aging” explains what they are, how they arise, and why a differentiated view of age(ing) - especially in health promotion and prevention - is essential. HLC Co-Director Dr. Christina Röcke was part of the advisory goup for this issue and wrote a section on “What are images of old age and how do they develop?”.
