DDA_lab

Dyadic Dynamics Analytics Lab (DDA Lab)

The DDA Lab is used to observe and analyze (e.g., using automatic encoding of facial emotional expressions) real-time dyadic interactions taking place within several types of dyads – from romantic couples to human-machine dyads – across the lifespan.

sound

VividSound Lab (VSL): Realistic 3D Audio Environments

The VSL is desgined to create naturalistic acoustic scenarios with ascending complex/difficult listening conditions in 3D-Audio, including neurophysiology, cognition and hearing.

data

Rooms for Data Collection and Secure Data Processing

A number of data collection and secure processing rooms are available for experiments and sensitive data analysis.

uTrail

uTrail

The uTrail is a custom-built sensor including a GPS tracker, an accelerometer, and a microphone that was developed to capture mobility (i.e., spatial activity), physical activity and social activity in daily life.

mr_simulator

MR Simulator (Mock Scanner)

The MR simulator from NordicNeuroLab is employed to acclimate research participants, prepare experimental paradigms, and train research staff for actual magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies.

eye_tracking

Eye Trackers

High-precision eye trackers (EyeLink II and EyeLink 1000 Plus) are utilized for behavioral and MRI studies to understand, among other things, how stress and emotion responses relate to pupil size and how this can be relied upon to foster resilience.
